Pathanamthitta: A fast track court in Pathanamthitta has sentenced a 49-year-old man, Sureshi, to four weeks imprisonment and a fine of Rs.15,000 for sexually abusing girls. Special Judge Donny Thomas Varghese delivered the verdict under the POCSO Act. The incident took place on August 2, 2022, when the accused followed the girls on the Konni Vallur Bridge. Public Prosecutor Adv. Jason Mathews represented the case, with the assistance of ASI Hasina during the court proceedings.
