The inspection began at the famous Balapur Ganesh Temple, covering key locations along the 19 km procession route from Balapur to Hussain Sagar, including Chandrayanagutta, Falaknuma, Charminar, Nayapul, MJ Market, and up to the Telugu Talli Flyover. The DGP emphasized the need for perfect coordination among departments to address any remaining issues. The team walked from Rajesh Medical Hall to Gulzar Houz, with stops at MJ Market Junction and Telugu Talli Junction to assess the flow of the idol processions and the responsibilities of the Law & Order and Traffic wings. Officers from other departments also shared updates on their respective preparations.

Officials reiterated the importance of timely movement of idols from different zones, emphasizing height restrictions and junction clearances along the route. A police force of nearly 25,000 personnel, including those from outside Hyderabad, will be deployed. All arrangements for their accommodation and food have been made.

Roads along the procession route will either be closed to regular traffic or see diversions. Quick Response Teams, dog squads, Anti-Chain Snatching teams, and SHE teams will also be on duty. A joint command control center with senior officers from all relevant departments—including GHMC, HMDA, Transco, R&B, Water Works, RTA, and Medical and Health—will be fully operational from the early hours of September 17 at TGC&CC.

The Hyderabad City police urge the public to cooperate with law enforcement and follow safety guidelines, ensuring this year’s Ganesh procession and immersion is both memorable and incident-free.
