Andhra Pradesh, Alluri Sitarama Raju: A resident of Vinukonda, Palnadu district, along with his associates, attempted to purchase ganja in Madagada, Araku Valley, paying two individuals for the deal. However, the individuals cut off contact and withheld the money. Frustrated by the loss, the group kidnapped a friend of the two on 27.11.2024, demanding ₹1,00,000 in ransom from both families. The victim’s family filed a complaint at Araku Valley Police Station on 29.11.2024. Acting swiftly, the police rescued the victim and arrested both the kidnappers and the two individuals involved in the illegal ganja trade on 04.12.2024.
