Darjeeling: The Darjeeling Police with the help of forest officers were clearing the road off trees that had fallen due to the high-speed winds of the Pashupati area which was blocked because of the fallen trees across the road thereby blocking traffic. The police cleared the fallen tree off the road and cleared the road for traffic. The Police said since the COVID infection is high and spreading very rapidly and all citizens are requested to stay at home and keep safe from the attack of the deadly pandemic. Take all the necessary precautions to see that you and your family are safe from COVID-19.
The Police said no matter what but our duty and determination to ensure your safety will never deter. Early morning our policemen were at work clearing roads of trees fallen due to intense wind and heavy downpour in the Pankhabari road area. Kurseong Police station in collaboration with forest staff cut down the fallen tree and cleared the way.
