Gwalior: In accordance with the instructions of Superintendent of Police, Rail Bhopal, Mr. Hitesh Chaudhary IPS, and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police, Railway Bhopal Mr. Amit Kumar Verma IPS and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rail Gwalior, Mrs. Shubha Srivastava IPS, intensive checking and arrest of the accused is being done on the trains and platforms. In the same sequence, on May 2, the Government Railway Police (GRP) station, Gwalior, has caught the women gang who robbed the trains.
On May 2, female passenger Mrs. Arpita Gupta, husband Mr. Rupal Gupta age 33 years resident of 180 Awas Vikas Colony Vishwa Vidyalaya Mahal Village Gwalior had filed a report that on train number 12178 Chambal X’s coach S 5 on berth number 18, 19, 21, 22 to travel from Gwalior to Jhansi, while boarding the train, the purse that was in his hand which contained gold and diamond jewelry and cash of eight thousand rupees, a total of 6 lakh rupees, was snatched by the unidentified women accused. On the report, the offense of MPDPK Act was registered in the police station Haja and taken up for investigation.
Police station in-charge GRP Gwalior Mr. Pramod Patil formed a team in the case. Taking immediate action, the team on the basis of CCTV footage and information of the informer, the accused persons fleeing from the government vehicle and jumping from the moving vehicle, the woman accused Rajni husband Roshan Singh, aged 24 years resident of Noorganj Loha Mandi City Kotwali Gwalior, Shakuntala husband Sher Singh age 60 years resident of Raj’s Kanhaiya police station Kotwali district Chhatarpur, Haribhajan Kaur husband Shamsher Singh age 46 years resident of Nurganj Seva Nagar police station Fort Gate Gwalior was arrested on the same day, and the entire cash worth Rs.6 lakh was recovered from the possession of the accused. All three have been arrested and presented in the Hon’ble Court.
