Idukki, Kerala: The passing out parade of the 2023 and 2024 batch Student Police Cadets of Vazhathope St. George Higher Secondary School was held with great pride and discipline on January 6, 2026, at the St. George Cathedral Grounds, Vazhathope.
Idukki District Police Chief Shri K. M. Sabu Mathew, IPS, graced the occasion as the chief guest and took the salute of the impressive parade. The oath was administered to the cadets by SPC Assistant District Nodal Officer Shri S. R. Sureshbabu, reaffirming their commitment to discipline, service, and social responsibility.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Idukki Deputy Superintendent of Police Shri Rajan K. Aramana, School Manager Rev. Fr. Tommy Anikuzhikattil, Idukki Police Inspector Shri E. K. Soljimon, Headmistress Mrs. Archana Thomas, Vazhathope Grama Panchayat President Mrs. Ansi Thomas, Panchayat Member Shri Joseph Palatil, PTA President Shri Jolly Alappurakkal, MPTA President Mrs. Sonia Binoj, School Principal Shri Jijo George, UP School Headmistress Sr. Anitha, SPC PTA President Shri Biju Kalayatthal, and others, who received the front salute and extended their greetings to the cadets.
The parade, accompanied by the vibrant performance of the Vazhathope St. George School Band Team, witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of parents and students. Civil Police Officers Mrs. Jasmine John and Shri Nithin P. B., along with Drill Instructors Shri Sreejith Jose and Mrs. Reena Mathew, and PTA committee members, led the parade with precision and coordination.
The successful conduct of the passing out parade reflects the Idukki District Police’s continued commitment to nurturing discipline, leadership, and civic responsibility among students through the Student Police Cadet programme.
