Chennai: Police Commissioner Mr. Shankar Jiwal IPS has honored volunteer Ms. Shabar Banu, who assisted the traffic police in regularizing traffic at the Taramani Link Road-Kambur Street junction.
Commissioner Mr. Shankar Jiwal IPS, auto driver Mr. Kennedy and Mrs. Shabur Banu were felicitated at the Greater Chennai Police Headquarters in Vepery on Wednesday.
Commissioner Mr. Shankar Jiwal IPS told media that the Commissioner of Police appreciated the efforts of auto driver Mr. Kennedy and volunteer Mrs. Shabur Banu, who had been serving for more than six years, for returning a gold chain weighing more than 10 grams belonging to a passenger left in his auto-rickshaw.
