Guna: A special campaign is being run by the Superintendent of Police, Mr. Rajiv Kumar Mishra IPS against the drug mafia in the district. Under the guidance of SDOP Chachoda Mr. Munish Rajouria, Mrigwas police station, while the accused were smuggling 152 grams of smack, has succeeded in arresting a smuggler with a motorcycle.
On the evening of January 8, the Mrigwas police station had received information from the informer that a person was coming from Rajasthan on a motorcycle to sell smack on the Mrigwas side. On receiving the information, Mrigwas station in-charge Sub Inspector Rajendra Singh Chauhan and Hamrah Force immediately reached near the forest between village Khedikala and Pagdighata and made a blockade.
During the blockade, a person was seen coming on a motorcycle which was stopped by the police team. On interrogating the person, he told his name as Mahendra son Madanlal Meena age 38 years resident of village Khadia, Harnavada police station Banra district, Rajasthan. On searching the person, 152 grams of smack worth about twenty lakh rupees was found with him. Which was duly seized and the accused arrested.
During interrogation, the accused told that on January 07, there was a talk with Vikas Meena, a resident of village Chak Haricha, regarding the purchase of smack. In the same connection, Vikas was going to sell smack to Meena. The accused told Vikas Meena to be standing waiting for him at the Lambachak intersection.
Police immediately reached Lambakchak with the accused Mahendra Meena and caught Vikas Meena’s son Niranjan Singh Meena, 22 years old resident of village Chak Haricha police station Chanchoda, standing there for the purchase of smack with a motorcycle. A case has been registered against both the accused under the NDPS Act in Mrigwas police station and has been taken up for investigation.
