Gwalior: On February 4, complainant Chandan Soni had reported at Gola Ka Mandir Police Station that he has been called by an unknown person on his mobile and has demanded a ransom of twenty lakh rupees in lieu of his life and his family’s life. Taking the said incident seriously, Senior Superintendent of Police Gwalior Mr. Amit Sanghi IPS has directed Additional Superintendent of Police, City East Mr. Rajesh Dandotia IPS to form a joint team of Crime Branch and Police Station Gola Ka Mandir to arrest the miscreants involved in the incident.
Working under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Mr. Ratnesh Tomar IPS, Mr. Vijay Bhadauria, and Municipal Superintendent of Police Murar Mr. Nagendra Singh Sikarwar IPS in compliance with the instructions of senior officers, collecting technical evidence regarding the incident and taking immediate action on the information of the informer. A joint team of police raided the place mentioned by the informer and caught a miscreant. After searching the arrested miscreant, the police confiscated the mobile of Oppo Company from his possession. On interrogation, the accused called the complainant Chandan Soni from his mobile from February 4 to February 8 and admitted to demanding a ransom of twenty lakh rupees by threatening to kidnap the children. A case has been registered against the arrested accused in the Gola Ka Mandir police station and has been taken up for investigation.
