Telangana, Hyderabad: In a significant breakthrough, the Gudimalkapur Police, under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South West Zone, successfully apprehended a habitual offender involved in a night house-breaking theft case.
On January 16, 2025, at approximately 1:00 PM, a complaint was received from Sri Uppari Krishna, a resident of Vivekananda Nagar, Bojagutta, Hyderabad. He reported that on January 13, 2025, he and his family traveled to their native place in Makthal Mandal, Narayanpet District, to celebrate the Sankranti festival. Upon their return on January 16, they discovered that unknown individuals had broken the main door lock and stolen gold, silver ornaments, and cash from their almirah. A case was subsequently registered and an investigation was launched.
The arrested accused are Eriki Pavan, aged 28 years, residing in Vivekananda Nagar, Bojagutta, Hyderabad, and Syed Azeem, aged 21 years, residing in Bombay Colony, Gudimalkapur, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad.
The primary accused, Eriki Pavan, had a criminal history with two prior cases and he had previously served a jail term and, after his release, conspired with his associate to commit the recent theft.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and revealed that they had spent Rs.1, 13,000 lavishly on a trip to Goa. The recovered stolen items include: Cash of Rs. 87,000 (500 x 174 denomination),Honda Activa Bike (Reg. No. TS13ET3283), Mobile Phone: Redmi 13,
The Stolen Recovered Property include Gold Ornaments (Total: 42 grams): Gold necklace – 11 grams, Gold earrings – 8 grams, Gold hand rings – 1.2 grams, 1.48 grams, Gold ear tops – 2.14 grams,Gold ear ring hangings – 2.57 grams, Gold mathis – 4 grams, Gold chains (3) – 10.77 grams, Gold nose ring – 0.43 grams. Silver Ornaments (Total: 756 grams): Silver ankle chains – 294 grams, 207.5 grams, 118.5 grams, Silver waist key chain – 41.2 grams, Silver candle (Deepak box) – 21.9 grams, 22.5 grams, Silver bowls (Kunkuma box) – 16 grams, 12.15 grams, Silver chain – 13 grams and a total of Rs.1,87,000 was recovered. The accused have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
