Harayana: The Harayana Police has released the safety tips that need to be implemented in order to ensure safety during driving in the roads. The safety measures were highlighted as the Chief Minister of Harayana Mr. Manohar Lal said I request all to drive safely during fog and ensure compliance of traffic rules. Your safety is our responsibility.
The safety measures that need to adhere during driving are given by the Traffic Police and they are as follows: Drive slowly during fog. Avoid overtaking and changing lanes. Use your low beam headlights and fog lights. Always have your taillights and blinkers on so those other drivers can spot your vehicle and maintain a safe distance. Do not park the vehicle on or near the edge of the road. Keep a sensible space between your car and the vehicle in the front. Avoid the usage of mobile phones and music systems while driving. All drivers must have retro-reflective tape on the front and rear of their vehicles. Pullover to the side of the road if you do not have visibility. If your vehicle collides with another vehicle leave the road immediately and contact the traffic helpline 1073 for assistance. Try not to drive in fog as much as possible. The 24 Hours Emergency services of the Police are 100 and 1073.
