Rachakonda: A free medical camp for the Police personnel of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate has been held at CAR Head Quarters, Amberpet on Tuesday in association with Sagar Pharma Industries. Team of doctors from Medicover, Global hospitals, and ESI have attended the staff and performed medical tests.
Addressing the media, CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS stated that having good health is very important to everyone and it is required for the police persons to deliver the best services to the citizens. CP stated that Rachakonda Commissionerate is taking up all the initiatives to provide free medical facilities to the staff and the free medical camp which is being conducted is one among them. CP further stated that several medical tests will be conducted in the camp includes Eye test, Liver function test, Cardiology, and Gynecology, etc. CP opined that free medical camps would help the staff to assess their health condition that reduce their expenditure on medical tests at private labs.
CP directed the staff to take required precautions since there is a chance for the third wave with Omicron variant and reiterated the significance of following SMS (Sanitizer, Mask, and Social Distance). CP stated that Rachakonda Commissionerate has been taking utmost care for the staff affected with Covid-19. CP mentioned that 5000 rupees will be given to the police personnel who tested positive besides giving rest for 14 days from duties and the state government is providing financial support of 1 lakh rupees to the police personnel and to their family members as well. CP expressed his happiness for all the 2030 police personnel got recovered and joined duties who were tested positive in the 1st and 2nd wave of COVID. CP mentioned that honorable DGP Mr. M. Mahender Reddy IPS commended the quarantine policy and the safety, welfare measures that are being followed by the Rachakonda Commissionerate.
CP further reminded that the health condition of all the police personnel who tested positive is being monitored on zoom calls as well by the unit doctors of Rachakonda Commissionerate and mentioned that a dedicated COVID Control Room has been set up which works round the clock. “Numerous services are being offered to the COVID affected Police personnel includes free medical oxygen, free ambulances, plasma donation, free vaccination, etc” CP added.
CP commended Dr. Saritha, Dr. Achyutha Rao, Mr. Sathish of Sagar Pharma, and the team of doctors from Medicover, Global, and ESI hospitals for assisting Rachakonda Police.
Additional DCP Sk Shameer, Additional DCP A. Lakshminarayana, Additional DCP N Bhaskar, ACP K.Nagendrudu, ACP G.Srinu, ACP P.Bhaskar, Admin RI M.Dileep Kumar, and other officers of CAR Amberpet also attended the medical camp.
