Cachar: In two separate anti-narcotics operations, the Cachar Police seized heroin worth Rs. 7 crores. A total of 1.2 kilograms of heroin was confiscated in raids conducted in Silchar and Dholai, Assam. In the first operation near Dholai’s Channighat village, police apprehended Tamijur Rahman and seized 55 soap cases containing approximately 700 grams of heroin. In a distinct operation near Silchar’s Ward No: 2 in Sildubi, Kabir Ahmed Barbhuiyan and Rajiv Uddin Laskar were detained with 45 soap cases of heroin, totaling around 500 grams, bringing the overall drug bust to 1.2 kilograms.
