Karimganj: In a successful operation led by Superintendent of Police Mr. Partha Pratim Das, the Karimganj Police conducted a raid in the Kabaribond area of Patharkandi, recovering 350.9 grams of suspected heroin packed in 29 soap boxes, with an estimated market value of Rs 3 crore.
During the raid, two suspected smugglers, Albaab Hussain and Sultan Ahmed, both residents of Patharkandi, were arrested. The Karimganj Police have intensified their efforts, regularly seizing drugs worth crores of rupees from various parts of the district.
The two suspects are currently in police custody for further questioning as the investigation continues. Authorities in Karimganj district aim to dismantle the broader drug trade network and are hopeful that this significant seizure will lead to more arrests and disrupt the drug supply chain in the near future.
