Telangana, Hyderabad City: The city of Hyderabad has recently seen an increase in incidents involving homeless individuals, some of whom are reportedly struggling with mental health issues. They have been frequenting religious events and locations, causing concern about potential disruptions to public order if these incidents go unchecked, according to Sri. C.V. Anand, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City.

In response, a coordination meeting was held with various government departments and prominent NGOs at the Command and Control Centre, Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, to discuss preventive measures. This meeting addressed the growing number of homeless individuals in Hyderabad, including mentally challenged persons, and their involvement in certain incidents.
