Bilaspur: In an extraordinary rescue operation during continuous heavy rainfall, a house in Village Limha, under the jurisdiction of Beltara Police Station in Ratanpur District, Bilaspur, was completely submerged. The Dial-112 emergency response team was promptly alerted to the situation. Despite the standard travel time to this rural area being approximately 30 minutes, the team managed to arrive in just 18 minutes, showcasing their dedication and efficiency.
Upon arrival, the team discovered that seven individuals were trapped inside the house, including elderly people, women, and a one-month-old infant. With great care and coordination, the Dial-112 team successfully evacuated all the trapped individuals, ensuring their safety. This prompt and effective response highlights the team’s readiness and capability in handling emergency situations, even under adverse weather conditions.
The Superintendent of Police for District Bilaspur personally commended the Dial-112 team for their swift and compassionate action. In recognition of their exemplary humanitarian work, the team was rewarded with a cash prize of one thousand rupees.
