Siliguri: On 02.10.2021 afternoon, acting on specific information intelligence officers and men of Bhaktinagar Police Station conducted a raid at a rented house of one Ramji Prasad Bhagat aged 30 years under Bhaktinagar Police Station.
Ramji Prasad Bhagat was staying there with his wife namely Aruna Rai.
On search of the rented room occupied by Ramji Prasad Bhagat and his wife two plastic pouches containing 263 grams of Brown Sugar were recovered and seized from the joint possession of Ramji Prasad Bhagat and his wife Aruna Rai.
The market value of the seized contraband Brown Sugar is approximately Rs.52 Lakh.
Both the persons have been taken into custody for possession of contraband drugs and a specific case has been registered at Bhaktinagar Police Station against the duo at Bhaktinagar Police Station, under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
