Hyderabad City: The Sleuths of Saifabad Police Station unraveled the mystery behind the brutal murder of Vagabond that took place in a Bus Stop of Telephone Bhavan, Iqbal Minar Road, Saifabad in the early hours of 24-07-2022.
Ms.P. Madhavi, SI of Police of Saifabad Police Station is the Complainant, the place of offence is in the bus stop of Telephone Bhavan, Saifabad, Hyderabad. The offence took place in between 4am to 4.30am on 24.7.2022. The report of the offence was on 24.7.2022 at 05:01am through Main Control. The deceased person is an unknown male person aged about 40-45 years and seems to be a Hindu.
In the early hours of 24.7.2022 at about 05.01 hours, SI Ms. P. Madhavi, Night Round officer has received a phone call from Main PCR regarding the throat cut of unknown person at near Telephone Bhavan Bus Stop. Upon which SI Ms. Madhavi rushed to the scene by alerting the Patrol Car and informing the NZO officer about the incident. On reaching the spot, she found the unknown person lying in a pool of blood with a throat cut injury and he was taking his last breath.
Immediately with the assistance of Patrol Car Staff, shifted the injured to OGH in 108 Ambulance, but at about 05:28 hours, the duty doctors declared the injured as brought dead.
On reporting the incident, Saifabad Police registered a case in Crime and swung into action. Special teams have been formed to locate the offender. Accordingly they verified the CCTV footage and by utilizing the technical tools in investigation, reached Niloufer Hospital Road and apprehended the accused persons Boini Mahesh(35) and Jankati Anil Kumar(30). Further recorded their detailed confession statements by summoning the Government Panchas and seized one foldable blade and cash of Rs.50 from them.
During the confession, accused persons confessed that they have committed murder only for stealing the money from the deceased pockets, who was found to be sleeping at telephone Bus Stop. In pursuance of the confessional statements of the accused, Section 379 r/w 34 IPC was added to the existing section.
The police seized one foldable Knife and cash of Rs.30/- from the accused Boine Mahesh and Cash of Rs.20/- from the accused Jankati Anil Kumar.
Accused Boine Mahesh is the native of Zaheerabad and he was necked out from his house because of his bad vices. One month back he came down to Hyderabad and used to beg in front of Temples and Masjids by residing on the pavements of Public Garden and Nampally Station Road. Whereas the other accused namely Janakati Anil Kumar is the native of Gulbarga, Karnataka State and six years back he came down to Hyderabad in search of labour Work.
He used to work in the hotels as supplier and during night times he used to take shelter in the Bus stops. While so, on 23.7.2022 at about 02:00 hours Janakati Anil Kumar approached the Boine Mahesh, who was sleeping the Bus Stop of Telephone Bhavan and asked for the cigarette. Upon which, Mahesh given a cigarette to him, thereafter the Anil Kumar introduced himself & offered Mahesh to drink alcohol, which he already brought and kept with him.
They both went near Vasavi Kalayana Mandapam for the water (public tap) and they have consumed the alcohol by mixing up water. Later at about 03:30 hours they returned to Telephone Bus Stop and noticed one person, who is in deep sleep. Then they both planned to steal money from his pockets. Accordingly they both went near to him & tried to steal the money, while so, the unknown person woke up, upon which the Anil Kumar caught hold of his hands, meantime Boine Mahesh cut his throat and thereafter by cutting the pockets they steal the money of Rs.160/- from him.
On 26.7.2022 at 12.30 hours, accused persons Boini Mahesh and Janakati Anil Kumar have been arrested. The accused persons are being produced before the Hon’ble court for Judicial remand.
Previous History of Accused: Accused Boine Mahesh, S/o Late Boine Narsimulu, aged 35 yrs, Occu: Labour Work, C/o Lakdikapool footpath, N/o Ramnagar, Zaheeerabad, Sanga Reddy District was previously involved in Crime No.28/2014 U/s 380, 411 IPC of Sanga Reddy (R) PS.
Mr. K. Sathaiah, Inspector of Police, Saifabad Police Station is the Investigation Officer. The efforts and timely action taken by the officers namely Mr. K. Sathaiah, Inspector of Police, Ms. P. Madhavi, SI of Police, Saifabad Police Station, PC 9457 Mr. Azeemudin, PC 6235 Mr. Ahmed Shah Quadri and other staff under the guidance of Mr. Venu Gopal Reddy, ACP Saifabad and Mr. A. Ramana Reddy,Addl. DCP Central Zone in locating the accused persons is highly appreciated. Suitable rewards are being given to the above officers for their sincere efforts in detecting the case at any early period by Mr. M. Rajesh Chandra IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad City.
