Hyderabad City, Telangana, August 22: The Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy Educational Society celebrated the 156th birth anniversary of Sri Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy, the 14th Kotwal of Hyderabad during the Nizam era, at YMCA X-Road today. Sri C.V. Anand, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, attended the event as Chief Guest and offered floral tributes to the great social reformer.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner lauded Raja Bahadur Venkatram Reddy’s visionary contributions, particularly his efforts in social reform, women’s education, widow remarriage, and establishment of educational institutions, which continue to inspire generations.
As part of the celebrations, outstanding police officers were felicitated for their exemplary service. Mr. K. Satish Reddy (Inspector, Cyber Crime, Hyderabad), Mr. S. Suresh (SI, Cyber Crime, Hyderabad), and Mr. S. Venkateswarlu (DI, Shadnagar, Cyberabad) were each presented with a gold medal and a cash award of ₹5,000 in recognition of their dedication and exceptional work in the police service.
The program was attended by senior police officials and members of the Educational Society, marking the occasion as a tribute to legacy and a celebration of excellence in policing.
