Hyderabad City, Telangana, August 22: Sri C.V. Anand, IPS, Director General & Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, conducted a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the performance of the 7 Zonal Cyber Cells (ZCCs) over the last two months. The review focused on six key areas: NCRP petition disposal, refund mechanisms, case detections, public awareness campaigns, interstate coordination via the Samanvaya Portal, and IR uploads to CCTNS.
The review highlighted remarkable progress achieved by the ZCCs this year:
* 65.15% rise in petition disposal, with 8,209 petitions resolved in 2025 compared to 4,970 in 2024.
* 87.03% increase in refund amounts, totaling ₹1.41 crore across 768 cases.
* 680% surge in IR uploads to CCTNS, reflecting stronger documentation practices.
* Enhanced use of the Samanvaya Portal, strengthening interstate coordination in cybercrime investigations.
During the meeting, the Commissioner of Police engaged directly with Zonal DIs, SIs, and PCs, carefully listening to their challenges and addressing their operational requirements. His proactive approach boosted staff morale and underscored the department’s commitment to empowering frontline officers in tackling cybercrime effectively.
The CP commended the ZCC teams for their dedication, innovation, and growing citizen outreach. He emphasized that increased public awareness has encouraged more victims to approach cyber cells, which is vital in building a safer digital ecosystem.
He urged officers to strengthen coordination with banks, telecom operators, and judicial agencies for quicker redressal of cyber fraud cases. He also stressed the need for continuous training programs and awareness drives to prevent cybercrimes and empower citizens with digital safety practices.

The Commissioner appealed to citizens to report cybercrimes without delay by contacting the nearest Zonal Cyber Cell, Police Station, or dialing the 1930 Cyber Helpline. He stressed that prompt reporting enables faster action, prevents further financial loss, and increases the chances of recovering defrauded money.
