Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major crackdown on narcotics supply networks, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), in coordination with Tolichowki Police, apprehended two Nigerian nationals involved in an interstate drug trafficking racket. The joint operation was carried out following credible intelligence inputs.
During the operation, 150 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately ₹20 lakh, were seized from the possession of Chidi Ezeh in the Tolichowki area. A case was registered under Cr. No. 21/2026 of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Accused Profiles
* Chidi Ezeh (42)— also known as Nageshwaran; overstayed in India after visa expiry, had procured fraudulent Indian identity documents, and was earlier involved in multiple NDPS-related cases. He allegedly operated as an interstate drug distributor, sourcing MDMA and cocaine from a Nigerian supplier in Delhi and supplying to peddlers in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Delhi.
* Obasi James Victor (38) — entered India on a tourist visa and overstayed after expiry; associated with Chidi in narcotics distribution.

Modus Operandi
Police investigations revealed that Chidi coordinated drug orders via WhatsApp and facilitated deliveries either personally or through Obasi. The narcotics were procured from an absconding Nigerian supplier based in Delhi, indicating trans-city supply networks.
Action Taken
Chidi has been arrested and remanded in judicial custody under provisions of the NDPS Act. As no criminal antecedents were found against Obasi, deportation proceedings have been initiated through FRRO and the Nigerian Embassy, including blacklisting and a ban on future entry into India.
