Hyderabad : The sleuths of Tukaramgate Police Station, Hyderabad apprehended 1 Ganja Peddler who was procuring and selling ganja illegally. The police seized 600 Grams of Ganja at the instance of the accused.
DETAILS OF THE ACCUSED : Chunchu Nitish Chandra(20) S/o Bhaskar occ: Zomato food supply, R/o Madhuranagar, Neredmet, Malkajigiri District
The police seized 600grams of Ganja from the possession of the accused.
On 14.12.2022 at about 12.30 hours, on credible information one zomato delivery boy was having possession of Narcotic drugs namely Ganja and was available at Rio Pint Hotel, Tukaramgate, Secunderabad and was trying to sell the same to needy customers. Believing the information is to be true, immediately, Tukaramgate police team apprehended him and took him into custody. On enquiry with the person he disclosed his name as Chunchu Nitish Chandra S/o Bhaskar age 20 years occ: zomato food supply, R/o Madhuranagar, Neredmet. On further enquiry he confessed that, recently he came in contact with Rahul r/o Jawahar Nagar, who is a drug peddler. As he was in need of more money.
Simultaneously, he was working in Zomato. He thought that it is easy to supply ganja in zomato bags and no one will suspects him. As per Rahul’s instructions he used to supply ganja to needy consumers in the particular places by using code words as cheetah, kalakan sweet box etc. Due to technical issues his Zomoto ID was blocked, presently he is using his friend’s Zomato ID since 1 month. Usually, on 11.12.2022 at Jawaharnagar, he collected 5 packets containing ganja sachets from Rahul, put them in Zomato bag, delivered 2 packets to consumers by using of code words for Rs. 5,000/- in Neredmet area to some customers. Later, I came to Tukaramgate area to deliver the ganja to one customer. Earlier he had supplied many customers of Neredmet and surrounding areas. As per the procedure Tuakramgate police have seized dry ganja weighing 600 grams, one zomoto food delivery bag (Red clour), one vivo mobile phone,
white colour CB Shine bike bearing registration No. TS13EB7175 and Cash of Rs. 5,000/-. The accused in this case, Rahul is absconding, and 20 consumers
have been identified and appropriate action will be taken against them. The case is under investigation by Mr. A Anjaneyulu, Addl. Inspector.
Source of procuring Ganja by the accused : Rahul R/o Jawaharnagar was arrested by Bhongir Town Police in Cr. NO. 113/2022 of NDPS Act.
Appeal to the public:-
In recent times we have seen several youths/students are addicted to Ganja/Drugs, engaged in crime and other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city. The parents of the youth also appeal to keep an eye on the parcel from food deliveries.
