Hyderabad: On 21.11.2022 at about 1900 hrs the police received a complaint from Mr. Varun Doshi, Occ: Marriage Event Management, R/o: House Opposite Old MLA Quarters, Hyderguda, Hyderabad., that last Friday on 18.11.2022 at morning hours his mother kept gold Jewelry in a Cylindrical shaped steel box container and kept the same at 1st floor store room and that on 20.11.2022, they noticed that the said box with gold items about 81 tulas was missing. He suspects their Maid Servant Mrs. Sunitha alias Radha must have stolen them.
During investigation, Narayanaguda Crime team questioned the suspect maid servant. Then, verified the CCTV footages of the houses and establishments at Scene of crime and also verified the CCTV footages enroute leading to the Scene of crime and observed that one male person is carrying one cylindrical shaped steel box on his shoulder which is matching with the description given in the complaint. Therefore, verified that person in other CCTV footages and he was matching the description of Suspect Maid Servant Sunitha alias Radha’s
Husband namely Suresh.
Also, Analyzed the CDRs of the suspect maid servant and her husband Suresh with their call timings which are also matched with the CCTV footage timings. Therefore, on thorough interrogation, the suspects admitted their guilt and confessed that “The complainant’s mother kept gold items in one steel container box in store room as they were shifting their house. Sunitha told the matter to her husband Suresh & her mother Shoba and they planned to steal the jewellery by taking the opportunity. Accordingly, on Saturday 19.11.2022 at about 12.50 hours, while the complainant is sleeping in his room at 1st floor, his parents were taking rest in a bedroom at ground floor., taking the opportunity Sunitha has stolen the jewellery steel box from 1st floor and kept it outside at entrance of the main door and informed her husband over phone who was waiting nearby. Immediately, he came there and took away the steel box containing jewellery and they concealed it at Sunitha’s mother Shoba’s servant room at Basheerbagh where Shoba is working as Maid servant. Later, Sunitha is attending work regularly at complainant’s house after theft to avoid suspicion.” As such the police recovered the stolen property intact: 81 thulas of gold jewelry consisting:- 15 gold coins-each coin weighing about 50 grams, Total-750 grams,
3 gold coins- each coin weighing about 5 grams, Total- 15 grams; 2 gold coins- each coin weighing about 2 grams, Total- 4 grams; 1 Silver coins- Ganesh idol and goddess embossed on it weight about 3 grams; 1 small gold coin- coin weighing about 1 gram; 1 pearl chain necklace with American diamond pendent, 4 pearl bangles,
1 pearl bracelet, 2 Earrings weighing about 15 grams; 1 gold and pearl necklace with 2 Earnings weighing about 5 grams; 1 gram beat chain with 2 earnings 2 grams; 1 chain with Rubies weighing about 15 grams.
The accused were brought to the Police Station and arrested in the above case and is being produced before the Hon’ble court. The accused Sunitha alias Radha; Suresh and Shoba hails from Karnataka and is settled in Hyderabad since last 10 years. Sunitha is blessed with three children. Sunitha has been working as maid servant in complainant’s house since last 10 years whereas her husband Suresh is running a Tiffin centre on Pushcart at Old City.
They planned to move permanently from Hyderabad after committing this theft. After receiving the complainant, the Investigation team has acted swiftly and recovered the entire stolen property within 3 hours of receiving the complaint. The above arrest was made by Mr. J. Bhaskar, Detective Inspector of Police, DSI Mr. G. Venkatesh & Crime Team under the guidance of Mr. R. Srinivas Reddy, SHO Narayanaguda PS, Mr. K. Venkat Reddy, ACP Abids. Mr. A. Ramana Reddy, Add. DCP, Central Zone under the supervision of Mrs. Sunitha Reddy, Incharge- DCP Central Zone ,Hyderabad.
