Hyderabad City, Telangana, July 8: In a forward-thinking move to foster youth safety, empowerment, and social responsibility, Hyderabad City Police, in collaboration with the Telangana Government and educational institutions, launched the “Safety Club” initiative at AV College. This pioneering program is designed to build a student-driven culture focusing on physical safety, cyber safety, substance abuse prevention, and mental health.
The initiative reflects a holistic approach to student well-being and civic engagement, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) and CBSE guidelines.
Leadership Voices:
DCP Central Zone Smt. Shilpavalli, IPS, highlighted that the Safety Club is not about policing students but empowering them—encouraging proactive participation in safety-related matters and contributing meaningfully to Telangana’s mission of a drug-free society.
Hyderabad District Collector Smt. Harichandana, IAS, underscored the value of civic responsibility, consistency, and resilience. She called upon the student community to become agents of positive change in society.
