Hyderabad, Telangana, July 13, 2025: Demonstrating prompt and efficient policing, Hyderabad Police successfully solved a theft case within hours of receiving the complaint and recovered gold ornaments worth ₹4 lakhs.
At around 11:00 AM on July 13, Smt. Syeda Zufi** Nas* of Akbarpura, Tolichowki, reported the theft of approximately 50 grams (5 tulas) of gold ornaments from her home while she was preparing for a family function. Based on her complaint, a case was swiftly registered under Cr. No. 75/2025 U/s 305(a) BNS.
Under the leadership of investigating officers, the team meticulously reviewed CCTV footage and zeroed in on a suspect — a former domestic help, Dee***, W/o Gode Barghav (26), a resident of Hakeempet, Tolichowki. The police team acted swiftly, traced and apprehended the accused from her residence.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft and disclosed that she committed the offence to fund a lavish lifestyle. She is currently employed as a housekeeping staff member at SKP Towers, Gachibowli, and is married with three children. Following her confession, the stolen gold ornaments were successfully recovered.
