Idukki, Kerala: In a continued effort to combat drug abuse among youth, the Idukki District Police organized an anti-drug awareness class titled “Choice of Life” at Elappara Panchayat Higher Secondary School. The initiative was conducted under the joint auspices of the Campus Beats Project and the District Student Police Cadet (SPC) Project.
The session was inaugurated by Sub-Inspector Shri Suresh Babu, Assistant District Nodal Officer of the SPC-Idukki. The awareness class was led by Sub-Inspector Aji Aravind from the Motivation Cell of the SPC District Team. The event featured a powerful flash mob performance by students, drawing attention to the dangers of drug abuse.
The programme was effectively coordinated by Mrs. Hasina Begum, Headmistress-in-charge and SPC Community Police Officer, along with Assistant Community Police Officer Jijo.
The Campus Beats Project, spearheaded by the Idukki District Police in collaboration with school authorities, PTA representatives, parents, and the wider community, is a proactive anti-narcotics campaign aimed at creating awareness among students and preventing the inflow of drugs into educational institutions.
