Idukki, Kerala: As part of the Janamaithri Surakshapaduthi scheme, the Idukki District Police organized a special self-defense training program for NSS volunteers at Mariapuram St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School.
The training was led by women police officers, including Assistant Sub-Inspectors Bindu T.G. and Sophia K.S., Senior Civil Police Officer Bindu Mol T.G., and Civil Police Officer Anju Shaji, all of whom had received specialized self-defense training from the District Police.
The program aimed at empowering young students with essential self-defense skills to ensure their safety and confidence in everyday life. The initiative received strong support from School Principal G.G. and NSS Nodal Officer Abi, who were present at the event.
