Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: In a proactive step to ensure strict enforcement of election guidelines, Vijayendra Bidari, Inspector General of Police (South Zone), personally inspected ongoing vehicle checking and surveillance operations carried out by the Tirunelveli District Police and Flying Squads.
The inspection was conducted as part of measures to implement the Model Code of Conduct during the Assembly elections. The IG reviewed the functioning of check posts and issued clear instructions to police personnel on duty regarding adherence to election norms and proper procedures during vehicle inspections.
Senior officials, including P. Saravanan and V. Prasanna Kumar, were also present during the inspection.
The initiative highlights the police department’s vigilance and commitment to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections through strict monitoring and enforcement.
