Patna: In a substantial operation targeting the issuance of illegal sand challans, the Bihar Police made a major arrest in the Bihta police station area of Patna district. The individual taken into custody was found in possession of a considerable amount of incriminating materials. Specifically, law enforcement officials recovered 42 illegal challans, which are documents typically used to impose fines or fees for transportation violations. In addition, they seized a sophisticated money counting machine, likely used to handle large volumes of cash quickly and accurately.
Further examination led to the discovery of a mobile phone, which is believed to have been used for coordinating these illegal activities. A significant amount of cash, totaling 2.5 lakh rupees, was also confiscated, indicating the scale of the operation. Alongside these items, three printers were found which were presumably used to produce the fraudulent challans. This comprehensive seizure highlights the extensive resources and equipment involved in the illegal sand trade in the region.
