North and Middle Andaman: On October 20, 2023, the Rangat Police carried out a proactive operation resulting in the successful raid and seizure of a substantial quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from the local shop, Prasanna Store. Acting on credible intelligence, the Rangat Police swiftly assembled a team comprising PCs Yaswant Rao and Sujata Das to execute the operation with precision at Prasanna Store, located in front of U.K. Nest Lodge in Rangat.
Under the leadership of Inspector R.K. Mazumder, SHO PS Rangat, the significance of prompt action to prevent illegal distribution or consumption of IMFL was emphasized. The police officers involved in the raid conducted a meticulous search of Prasanna Store, uncovering a notable quantity of concealed IMFL. The accused lady was promptly apprehended, and a case was registered under the relevant sections after seizing 50 IMFL bottles. The entire operation was carried out under the vigilant supervision of Shri. Vishesh Dhatterwal, DANIPS, SDPO Rangat, and the overall direction and oversight of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
