Tirunelveli: Kannan alias Navin (21) of Bhaskar Street, Thambupuram under Nanguneri Police Station and Pachiganesh (23), son of Chellappa of North Street, North Ariyanayakepuram under Mukodal Police Station, Tirunelveli, were allegedly involved in beating and attempted murder and threatening the public. This incident came to the attention of District Superintendent of Police, Mr. P. Saravanan, IPS, and on the recommendation of the District Superintendent of Police, Nanguneri Police Inspector Mrs. Selvi and Mukodal Police Inspector Mrs. Kokila, took action against the said persons under the Gangster Detention Act and on the order of the District Collector (20.09.2022), the convicts were imprisoned in Palai Central Jail under the Gangster Act.
