Rachakonda: Part of Community Policing, today i.e. 09.04.2021, Mr. Malla Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Labour and Employment and Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police have inaugurated 136 Community CCTV cameras in Keesara and Ankireddypally villages. The total cost of the project is around Rs.30,00,000/- donated by the local donors of Keesara and through GP funds at Ankireddypally Village.
These cameras were installed at strategic locations covering the entry and exit, main routes, and crime-prone areas of the localities.
As of today 523 Community CCTV cameras and 3692 Nenu Saitham Cameras have been installed and geotagged in Keesara Police Station limits which include 101 CCTV Cameras arranged at Keesara gutta during Shivaratri Brahmotsvalu.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Malla Reddy Gaaru emphasized that for effective maintenance of Law & Order and for Crime Prevention CCTV Cameras are the best means to achieve. He urged the citizens and public representatives to come forward and install more cameras in their respective areas.
Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS reiterated that, One CCTV camera is equal to a hundred police, for the reason-giving much importance for installation of CCTV cameras in Rachakonda and till now around 1,25,000 CCTV Cameras in Rachakonda limits. In recent past important cases detected with the help of CCTV cameras only, he cited the examples of detection of a 2-year-old minor boy kidnap case in Saroornagar through CCTV in 30 hours and saving innocent auto drivers from serious allegations of Kidnap and rape of a B Pharmacy student.
Later the Chief Guests felicitated the donors and appreciated their contribution with social responsibility.
