Ahmedabad: On 23 August 1998, 23 Kashmiri boys were apprehended while crossing the Line of Control, they were compelled into militancy by giving false promises and were taken into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Army carried out a daring rescue operation and reunited the boys with their parents.
