Rachakonda: In the wake of the increase in COVID-19 cases again in the state, the Rachakonda traffic police conducted an awareness program for motorists in an innovative manner. LB Nagar Traffic Inspector Mr. Nagamallu conducted an awareness drive for motorists at Kothapet Chowrasta by a police cultural troupe. As the corona is spreading, the Telangana state government has recently released GO 68 which says that everyone should wear masks as a matter of duty, stay away from the crowd, use sanitation, follow health rules and take many precautions to prevent the corona from reaching our doorsteps. Covid rules SMS (Sanitizer, Mask, Social distance) even after vaccination use of Mask, maintaining Social distance advised to adhere. The consequences of not taking precautions are presented in the form of a street play by the cultural group in a way that is understandable to motorists.
Additional Traffic Inspector Mr. Nagamallu said that the people must abide by the COVID protocols prescribed by the government and protect their health. CP Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS appreciated this advocacy effort. CP has also warned those not wearing masks to face prosecution where Rs.1000 fine amount is punishment in case of non-compliance.
