As part of the enforcement:
* Vehicles found using prohibited loudspeakers causing high noise pollution were fined a total of ₹1, 00,000.
* Vehicles that had failed to pay statutory road tax were fined ₹40,000.
* Additionally, two vehicles operating without any legal documentation were seized on the spot and transported to the Wattalakundu Regional Motor Vehicle Inspector’s Office.
Mr. Ilangovan emphasized that regular and intensified vehicle inspection drives will continue in the Kodaikanal hill region. He further warned that vehicles operating without proper documents or in violation of motor vehicle norms will be confiscated without exception, reinforcing the department’s commitment to public safety and environmental protection.
