Warangal: In Warangal, District Police Commissioner Mr. Amber Kishore Jha, IPS, emphasized on Saturday that in upholding the aspirations of police martyrs, it is crucial to excel in one’s duties and serve the public. The solemn commemoration of Police Martyrs Commemoration Day (Flag Day) took place at the Warangal Police Commissionerate Office at Amaraveerula Stupam. During the event, Crimes DCP Mr. Dasari Muralidhar, IPS, recited the names of 189 police martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty in the country from the past year until now. Subsequently, the Warangal Police Commissioner, Warangal District Judge Radhadevi, Warangal Hanumakonda District Collectors Praveenya, Sikta Patnaik, Greater Warangal Municipal Commissioner Mr. Rizwan, along with DCPs Mr. Muralidhar, Mr. Ravinder, additional ACPs, ACPs, Inspectors, and police personnel were present. Family members of the martyrs, members of the Police Officers’ Association, and other police personnel paid their respects at the Police Martyrs’ Stupa by placing flowers and offering tributes to the Police Martyrs, led by Pidapa, R.I. Chandrasekhar.
During the event, the Police Commissioner expressed that by adhering to the principles established by the valiant policemen and police martyrs, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the people, it is imperative to work collaboratively for the well-being of the community. To earn a reputable reputation among the public, sincerity, integrity, and honesty in our endeavors are essential. The sacrifices made by the police martyrs should never be forgotten; they will forever remain in our hearts. The Police Commissioner asserted that even though they may no longer be with us, they will always be remembered. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to safeguard the families of the martyrs, and any issues they face will receive complete support from the police department. Following this, a procession from the Police Commissionerate office to the Mission Hospital was organized, where police officials, staff, family members of the police martyrs, and members of the police vigilance group participated and paid their respects to the police martyrs.
