Bengaluru : City Police Commissioner B. Dayanand inaugurated the Garuda CCTV Command Center in Talaghattapur Police Station in collaboration with Change Makers of Kanakapura Road Associations and City Police for public safety.
300 CCTV cameras of high definition 5 MP IT capacity are being installed under the Garuda CCTV project in Talaghattapur police station, 101 cameras have been installed in the first phase. These will be connected to the ‘Command Centre’ of the station and the footage captured by the cameras will be broadcasted live on the 955 inch LED big screen installed in the station. Through this, the officials have informed that there will be strict khaki surveillance in Talaghattapur police station limits.
“Police cannot be present at the scene in all cases. Dayanand said that crimes should be curbed by efficient use of technology.
CMKRA Secretary VK Vatsa said, ‘Cameras are being installed with the aim of curbing criminal acts and the safety of people. There is a plan to install more cameras in the coming days,’ he said.
CMKRA Joint Secretary Kiran Kumar said that the team led by Talaghattapur Police Station Inspector N Jagadish has given good support to the project.
