Puducherry: Consolidated instructions have been given to all SPs, SDPOs, DC and AC IRBn, CIs, In-charge Units, Inspectors, SHOs, Si’s, DC’s, Beat Officers by the DGP of Puducherry, ADGP and SSPs of Puducherry. These instructions have been given concerning the Nivar Cyclone.
In the light of Nivar Cyclone Warning, all SDPOs, CIs, SHOs, Beat Officers, and other field officers are hereby sensitized on the following:
- Do an awareness campaign with public addressing system.
- Make joint coordination with Disaster Management.
- Visit low-lying areas to sensitize the public about the nearest shelter homes and preventive measures adopted.
- Attention on Thatched Hut, light structures(Arrack Shops), damaged buildings to move the people living there to shelter homes.
- SHOs to be equipped with life-saving equipment like a torch, ropes, and other equipment or resourced their availability for mapping to the contingency.
- Contact details of local crane and Ambulance operators have to be resourced for contingency.
- Team Puducherry Police have to exercise their experience and acquired knowledge for a better response support system.
- Inspector Wireless to ensure VHF communication network and to assist Disaster Management in extending the network.
- Wireless Technical Team should be Red Alert for contingency.
- Control Room @ ERSS to be Red Alert and Wireless communication to be logged and the information to be shared with the compliance.
It is also sensitized on the COVID-19 pandemic with special attention to
- Safety mask, Social Distance, Safety Aarogya Setu App, Sanitation – 4S
- Constant, Continuous, Consistent, Conspicuous – 4C
Team Puducherry is hereby sensitized to share the information/ events to ensure a better support system in synchronization with SOP issued by Disaster Management.
