Hyderabad City: Mr. C.V. Anand, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City chaired the inter-department coordination meeting held at Draupadi Garden, Seetharambagh for the smooth conclusion of upcoming festivals Sri Ram Navami, Hanuman Jayanti.
The meeting was attended by GHMC Commissioner Mr. Lokesh Kumar, Sri Ramanavami Utsava Samithi members and senior officers from R&B, Electricity, and fire departments who apprised the works in progress vis-a-vis tree pruning, barricading, road repair works, illumination and mobile transformers etc.,
CP Mr. Anand in his address emphasized upon the attendees for streamlining the coordination. Citing the feedback collected ably post 2022 processions, he diligently highlighted the key issues that hindered procession movement last year and appealed the organizers to correct them this year.
Later along with the organizers, other department officials along with CP Mr. Anand inspected the 6.8 km procession route.
“The City police have chalked out an elaborate security plan for the Shobha Yatra that draws hordes of devotees. Tributary processions & main procession should stick to the route. People should also cooperate with the police, volunteers and enjoy the festival.” he said.
“Any instigating content in the songs/speeches will attract stern action.” he warned.
