Rachakonda: On 16.09.2021 at morning hours, acting on specific information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone along with LB Nagar Police apprehended three drug peddlers namely Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy (32), Chakali Venkatesh (27), Thallavalasa Kondal Rao (43), Munagapaka Venkata Raju (32) and seized 3 liters of Hashish Oil, One Honda Unicorn motorcycle, three mobile phones, and net cash Rs.800/- all worth about Rs.9.80,800/- from their possession. A case was registered at LB Nagar Police Station of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The native of Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy is Chegunta of Medak district, whereas Chakali Venkatesh belongs to Solakpally village of Sangareddi district, and both of them have been presently residing in the Patancheru area of Hyderabad and were in search of their livelihood. Thallavalasa Kondal Rao belongs to Bangarmatta village of Vishakhapatnam district and at present, he has been residing in Jagadevpur village and Mandal of Siddipet district for his livelihood, and Munagapaka Venkata Raju is a native of Vizag City. Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy and Munagapaka Venkata Raju are close friends and they previously were indulged in illicit transportation of Ganja from the Visakhapatnam agency area to other different areas. For which, two cases were also registered against them in Rajahmundry Urban district of AP State. Chakali Venkatesh is the close friend of Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy and Thallavalasa Kondal Rao is the cousin of Munagapaka Venkata Raju.
Since Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy and Munagapaka Venkata Raju are habitual in illicit transportation of Ganja, having well acquaintance with them, t Chakali Venkatesh and Thallavalasa Kondal Rao also joined with them for doing this illegal activity so as to earn easy money. Of the above accused, Munagapaka Venkata Raju is the supplier of the contraband drug and Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy uses to dispose of the same with the assistance of Chakali Venkatesh and Thallavalasa Kondal Rao by selling it to known and needy customers in Hyderabad City and its surrounding area. In fact, since there is close surveillance by the police over the illegal transportation of Ganja, the accused persons have chosen to transport the Hashish oil which is easy to transport. Likewise, prior to 15.09.2021, Munagapaka Venkata Raju purchased 3 liters of Hashish Oil from his known person at Visakhapatnam agency at Rs.1,00,000/- per liter, transported the same illegally to Patancheru! area and handed over to Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy, Chakali Venkatesh, and Thallavalasa Kondal Rao on 15.09.2021 at evening hours with a view to selling the same to needy customers at Rs.3000/- per 10 ml.
According to their plan, on 16.09.2021 in the morning hours, Mallappagari Srikanth Reddy, Chakali Venkatesh, and Thallavalasa Kondal Rao came to Series Road under the limits of LB Nagar Police Station on a motorcycle along with the Hashish oil in order to sell the same to the known and needy customers. But, in the meantime, the team of SOT LB Nagar along with LB Nagar Police caught the three accused and seized (3) liters of Hashish Oil, Honda Unicorn Motorcycle, (3) mobile phones & net cash Rs.800/- from their possession.
The above arrests were made under the supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. G.Sudheer Babu, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. Sunpreeth Singh, IPS., Dy. Commissioner of Police, LB Nagar Zone and under the guidance of Mr. J. Surender Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, by Mr. Ashok Reddy, Inspector of Police, LB Nagar, Mr. T.Ravi Kumar, Inspector of Police, Mr. T.Avinash Babu, 51 of Police and staff of Special Operations Team, LB Nagar zone, Rachakonda.
