Tamil Nadu, Madurai: In Madurai District, an attempt was made last night to attack former minister RB Udayakumar and Dinesh Kumar, an AIADMK official accompanying him, near Usilambatti. They sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the hospital. The individuals involved in the attack are reportedly AAM MUK executives. The police investigation into the incident is being led by Beraiyur DSP Durgadevi.
