Mangalore: IPS officer Anupam Aggarwal has been appointed as the new police commissioner of coastal city Mangalore.
The state government issued an order to transfer 35 IPS officers, including Kuldeep Kumar R Jain, who is the current Mangalore Police Commissioner. Kuldeep was transferred as soon as he was shown another post. Kuldeep was known as Strict Officer efficient and honest officer.
Anupam Agarwal, the new commissioner of Mangalore, is a 2008-batch IPS officer originally from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Earlier served as Director of Karnataka Police Academy. He also served as Assistant Superintendent of Police in Davangere, Deputy Commissioner of Police in Belgaum, Superintendent of Police in Ramanagara and Vijayapur and Director of Youth Empowerment and Sports Department.
