Handwara: Handwara Police continuing its efforts to strengthen Police- Public relationship, held a police -public interactive meeting at Police Station *Vilgam.
The meeting was chaired by SHO of Police Station Vilgam, besides other officials and beat incharges of Police Station Vilgam were also present in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the Sarpanchs, Panchs and other respectable persons of Vilgam area.
The meeting was conveyed to hear the issues of Public and to make a strong bond between Police and Public.
In the meeting, the participants raised various issues related to police and other civil departments. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. He also sought their co-operation in harmonizing Police -Public relationship.
The participants were also asked for their full cooperation in identifying anti-social elements, drug peddlers and miscreants in the area so that timely action can be taken against them.
The participants appreciated the work of Handwara Police and timely action against drug peddlers, rendering Public service and in addressing public grievance in a possible time. The meetings ended on a positive note.
