Budgam: To promote good police-public relations and promote sports among the youth, the police distributed cricket equipment to the youth in Budgam under the auspices of the Police Civic Action Program.
Deputy Inspector General of Police CKR Srinagar Mr. Sujit Kumar IPS, SSP Budgam along with Mr. Tahir Saleem JKPS distributed sports equipment to Hummahama Youth Welfare Association, a local sports club in Budgam. Sporting goods include 2 dug-outs, 2 cricket practice nets, 1 cricket mat, 10 fencing nets, 30 chairs, and 2 tables.
DIG CKR Srinagar captivated the youth and suggested that everyone should resort to sports to develop self-confidence, concentration, physical and mental health. He said the youth should take advantage of sports and divert their energy in the right direction through various sports programs.
Community members, especially participants, showed extraordinary enthusiasm and appreciated the police for providing such facilities to boost their morale.
