Jammu and Kashmir Police organized anti-drug awareness rally in Budgam

Srinagar: Police in Budgam have organized an awareness rally under the banner of “Prevention of Drug Addiction”.

The rally was attended by students and staff members of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Magam, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Magam, RMP School Magam and Green View School Magam. Besides, Traders Union Magam, youth and other respectable citizens of Magam area participated in the rally.

The awareness rally was flagged off by SDPO Magam Mr. Mohammad Saleem Bhat JKPS at Government Higher Secondary School Magam along with SHO Magam and other officers of Budgam Police, Principals of participating schools and senior members of Traders Union Magam. The rally passed through Bus Stand Magam, Main Market Magam and returned to Government Boys Higher Secondary School Magam where the rally culminated.

The main aim of the rally was to spread awareness about ill effects of drug abuse and its consequences. SDPO Magam on the event appealed to the general public to join hands with Police in curbing the abuse of drugs and related substances to eliminate this social evil from the society. Students/Participants were holding banners and placards in their hands with messages against substance abuse and raised slogans against the social evil and pledged to join their hands to eradicate this menace from the society.
