Chhattisgarh, Jashpur: In a significant move against drug trafficking, Jashpur District Police, under Operation Ghatak, have successfully frozen illegally acquired assets worth Rs.1.39 crore belonging to notorious ganja smuggler Hiradhar Yadav. The action was executed through the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act (SAFEMA) Court in Mumbai.
Hiradhar Yadav, a key player in the illegal ganja trade, had accumulated substantial wealth through illicit drug dealings. Jashpur Police, in coordination with investigative agencies, meticulously gathered evidence of his illegal earnings and presented a strong case before the SAFEMA Court. Acknowledging the gravity of the offense, the court ordered the freezing of Yadav’s properties, marking a significant step in dismantling his criminal network.
