Jhajjar: The Jhajjar district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana state in northern India. Carved out of Rohtak district on 15 July 1997 and with its headquarters in Jhajjar, it lies 29 kilometers from Delhi and had developed into an important industrial center. The district covers an area of 1,834 km².
The Jhajjar District Police were on their duty during the ongoing Lockdown and the Police came across a truck with a sticker of essential supplies. On checking the contents of the truck the Police found cartons of illicit liquor hid inside the truck. The quantity of the illicit liquor that was hidden inside the truck was found to be 952 cartons. The Police apprehended the driver of the truck, seized all the cartons of illicit liquor along with the truck that was used in smuggling. The liquor was found concealed under the onion bags.
