Jharkhand: The Bokaro police have arrested two persons on Friday for illegal possession of wildlife. The persons were in possession of a rare snake Red Sand Boa which is worth Rs.1.6 crore. The police said that they have identified, traced and apprehended the two men from a hotel who were in possession of the rare snake, which is valued at Rs.1.6 crore. They said that the rare snake has been recovered from the accused and the arrested accused have been identified as Sunil Paswan and Md Shahabuddin. These rare species of snakes are mostly available in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The people catch these snakes, bring them, and sell it in the international market, China. This is done via Nepal and there is an international gang that smuggle these snakes. The police have registered a case and further investigation are being carried out. ]]>
