Jammu: Under “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” and to pay glorious tributes to the Martyrs/Freedom fighters of the country, a Painting Competition was organized by IRP-1 Bn. under Civic Action Program (CAP) at Govt. Middle School Judda (Arnas), remote village in Arnas area of District Reasi, Mr. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal (CO IRP-1st Bn), Mr. Anil Sagar, Deputy SP and other senior officers of the Unit were present on the occasion.
In the event, 87 students of different schools of Judda area such as Govt. Higher Secondary School Judda, Girls Middle School, Boys Middle School, Rafiq Public School, Primary School Brouse and High School Dandli participated. The event was witnessed by respectable citizens of the area including retired police officers, ZEOS, Panchayat representatives, teaching staff of the school. The total gathering in the event was approximately 200.
On the occasion, the Police team presented a brief cultural program and also delivered motivational lectures on Freedom Movement to the young students. Cash prizes were given to the top three winners’ along with mementos. Consolation cash prizes were given to next twelve best participants
The participants were also served with refreshments and later on respectable citizens of the area joined the participants for lunch. The event was organized on the directions of Police Headquarters J&K under Civic Action Program. The teachers and respectable people of the area thanked and appreciated the efforts of the Police Department for organizing such events in far flung areas that provide source of inspiration and motivation to students and helpful in strengthening Police Public relations.
