Srinagar: As a goodwill gesture and to remember the sacrifice of martyrs, Police and civil administration distributed Eid gifts and sweets among the families of Police martyrs in Budgam and Pulwama. Officers from the respective districts extended their heartfelt Eid wishes to the families of police martyrs and wished them happiness and success in their lives.
While interacting with the families of Police martyrs in Budgam, visiting officers extended their warm greetings on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and assured every possible support to them. They also enquired about the health and other welfare issues of NOKs and requested them to visit their offices for any kind of assistance at any time. The families of martyrs expressed gratitude and their happiness for the police department for this kind and empathetic gesture.
Besides, SSP Budgam Mr. Tahir Saleem JKPS celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with officers and Jawans at DPL Budgam. During his interaction with the jawans and officers, SSP Budgam appreciated their hard work and dedication towards their duties in ensuring peace in the district.
Additional SP Budgam, Deputy SP Headquarers Budgam, Deputy SP DAR DPL Budgam, SHO of Budgam Police Station and other officers were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile in Pulwama, DC Pulwama Mr. Baseer-ul-Haq Choudary accompanied with SSP Pulwama Mr. Gh Jeelani Wani celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with Police officers/officials at DPL Pulwama. On the occasion, they extended their greetings to the people and all ranks of Police officers/officials. They prayed for peace and prosperity for the people in general, all ranks of Police and families of martyrs.
Later, as a goodwill gesture DC Pulwama and SSP Pulwama distributed sweets among civilians, Police officials and NOKs of martyred Police personnel.
ASP Pulwama, Deputy SP DAR Pulwama and other officers were also present on the occasion.
